Clinical Psychologist

Hello!

I’m Jess, a clinical psychologist providing compassionate and support and gold-standard evidence-based therapies for adults experiencing difficulties with trauma, self-esteem, anxiety and low mood, relationship difficulties, and perinatal wellbeing.

My passion lies in offering compassionate and gold-standard therapies, working from the philosophy that we are all doing our best to survive at any given time. I understand that we have often developed strategies that helped us cope with adversities in the past, but have come to keep us stuck in distress. I help people to understand their triggers, stuck patterns, and learn strategies (inc. the science behind them) that will help them move towards new, empowered, ways forward.

I offer a safe confidential space, and interventions based on the latest psychological evidence-base and tailored to your individual needs. I draw on a range of gold-standard therapies, including CBT (traditional and 'third wave'), trauma-focussed, and relational approaches.

I also believe that therapy should go beyond talking to really experiencing change, and draw on visual and creative aids for exploring patterns and psychological concepts, attention retraining, imagery for processing memories and ingrained patterns of thinking and behaviour, and somatic practices, amongst other strategies, to bring sessions to life.

I offer flexible appointment options, including in-person sessions in the heart of Hove and secure online consultations, allowing you to access support in a way that suits your lifestyle.

Ultimately, my passion lies in creating a safe and nurturing space, understanding the strengths and expertise that you bring to therapy, and equipping you with the tools you need to move forward.

I understand that embarking on therapy can sometimes be a journey in itself. If you would like to talk more about what therapy might look like for you, or to touch base and see if we might be a good match, please do reach out - I will be happy to arrange a free introductory call. I look forward to meeting you.
